This week it was a simple triangle sort where we asked students to discuss and sort triangles prior to lesson ~15min

The students were really engaged and communicating about math. It was great to see! They usually go off task within 5 min.

I've done the usual trig lesson in a field, but I had students use real survey equipment and find a 'treasure'. Most got it.

We used the sort to open the lesson. I just displayed various triangles on the and then asked students to group them

One of the most interesting lessons I did was classifying quadrilaterals  based on angles diagonals cross at, parallel sides, etc #
